1. Do you want to reduce your electricity bills?
A wind turbine first of all feeds electricity into the house supply, which can substantially reduce energy bills. Any excess is exported into the National Grid, providing further financial benefits.

2. Are you concerned about the environment?
A 6kW wind turbine with only an average wind speed site can save almost 6 tonnes of CO 2 each year. In fact, we have many 6kW machines saving much more than this. Your own turbine offers incredible efficiency, producing its own energy on your own doorstep rather than using electricity from an inefficient power station many miles away.

3. Is there enough wind resource at your site?
A turbine should be positioned so that it is exposed to
the most frequent and strongest prevailing winds. We
can make an initial evaluation of the wind speed and
the likely output from each size of turbine. Other factors
to consider are noise, aesthetics and planning. We can
survey the site to advise on the optimum position for the
turbine, taking all of these issues into account.

4. Do you have enough space to accommodate a
wind turbine ?
Although a turbine actually takes up very little ground area,
allowance must be made for raising and lowering the
turbine for maintenance and should be as far away from
buildings and other obstructions as possible.

5. Are you off-grid and do you wish to reduce your
diesel generator costs ?
A turbine would be the main source of power to charge
the battery, saving generator fuel oil and reducing noise
substantially.
